WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as valuable for the latter due to the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current Item level upgrade level of the item being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear from other sources. For example, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from item upgraders NPCs for various currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any weapon, tool or armor. button, which displays a preview of the item at the next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item and current item level, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers, for example. Crests

Players have a variety of options when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.

For instance, it's a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests with the Best item upgrade equipment available, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning on making. This is especially true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The account-wide discount will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
