However, it does not include a lens shift feature or vertical focus. It also has an image distortion feature which can be helpful in less-than-perfect installations, but it does affect the image quality.

The GP500 includes a range of standard and some not so common convenience and quality of life features like Keystone and Corner Fit which digitally warp the image to help with installations that aren't ideal and a Toslink optical Audio Out jack that mutes the built-in speaker when headphones or an alternate speaker system is plugged in, and Bluetooth capability that lets it function as a wireless transmitter for music playback. 3D playback is also supported.

Subjectively, I found the GP500 to have extremely accurate grayscale OOTB. I measured an DeltaE of just 2.3 which is less than what's seen by the human eye but still quite acceptable. The Dynamic Contrast function really helped to bring depth to Life of Pi's few night scenes, and the color display was superb. Avatar was also awe-inspiring.

GP500 Black

The GP500 has tabs for opening both on the left and right side of the shield. It is Pinlock Max Vision ready. It comes with an automatic shield lock to stop it from opening during riding (or an accident). The rear of the helmet has a double-d-ring fastener that's tool-free.

The auto-focus function worked extremely well and produced clear images with many distinct shades. It was unable to cope with the dark scenes at night in Life of Pi but overall it created a cinematic feel.

There aren't any race rep graphics available for the GP500 however you can purchase Airoh Sectors, Scrape and Cosmos in a plain black finish. You can also purchase it with Rockstar, Drive and Check graphics for a more track-focused look.

The GP500 White has a number of features that improve the user experience, such as Keystone and Corner Fit. Corner Fit is an image warping feature that is digital. These can be beneficial for installations that aren't ideal as they make it easier to display an image in a flat format. They do, however, reduce the quality of the image. It is important to remember this. The GP500 produced very clear and distinct colors and had a great grayscale performance OOTB.
